THE ART OF BEING HAPPY

“Happiness” -Think about it and will find varied definitions and shades in it. At times you derive happiness even from the smallest of things. The mesmerizing fragrance of flowers as you walk past them in the serene hours of the morning brings in a deluge of happiness. Even the bright smiles of your loved little ones is enough to make your day. Spending time with your books or just staring at the starlit sky for some time conditions your soul. Holding the tender drops of the first rains, escaping into the realms of soulful music, talking heartily with your near and dear ones, being engrossed in your kitchen plating out delicacies or just reliving your past watching your favorite TV series once again can do wonders to increase your quotient of happiness.

Is it that difficult to be happy? We need to find an answer to this. Of course, happiness has nothing to do with your status in the society. Nor does it have anything to do with who you are, where you are, and even how successful you are. Happiness is rather a habit-a habit that each one of us need to inculcate. Rather it is a rare, pleasant disease, one of its kind. The more one spreads it the more one receives it in return.

On the other hand, being happy does not mean that everything is perfect. It is a known and widely accepted fact that humans are born imperfect. But the moment you decide to look beyond this imperfection, you find happiness.

In the present times of digitalized emotions and feelings (pun intended) somewhere the real essence of happiness has taken a backseat. Therefore there is a need to restore and nurture the idea of real happiness. Here are a few simple ways that we can try :

Understand ourselves:

Try to map out your real needs and realize what is it that we truly value.

Think of what makes us happy:

When we figure out our definition of happiness, we must try to find out a way to achieve it.

Change our point of view:

“Bad days” are common to all of us. We just have to understand, see, and change our attitude and perspective towards these problems.

Surround yourself with happy people:

Being with happy people can inspire and strengthen one to become a happier person.

Learn to share: Giving others a helping hand and sharing can be a source of happiness Do not forget to share your happiness with others.

DEAR FRIENDS,

Enjoy the little things that you have today for one day when you turn over the pages of your life, you will realize how “big” those things really were.
